How do I get from Edinburgh Airport to the City Centre?
Taxis are available outside the Arrivals area and from the ‘black cab’ rank by the coach station. Journeys are likely to cost approximately £18-£23.
The Airlink bus is Edinburgh’s dedicated express service between the airport and the City Centre. It runs frequently (every 10 minutes during the day), 24 hours a day. The cost is £4.50 per adult or £7.50 for an open return (£2 and £3 return respectively for children). The journey will be approximately 30 mins. The departure point is directly outside domestic arrivals. The route follows the main route into Edinburgh City Centre stopping at Waverley train station from where you can easily walk to our apartments. More info: www.flybybus.com
Alternatively you can travel by tram from Edinburgh Airport with departures also every 10 minutes during the day. For our Hanover Hideaways, disembark at the Princes Street Tram Stop and for our St James’ Residence, disembark at York Place. It is then a very short walk to our apartments. The cost is £5.50 for a single ticket and £8.50 for an open return (£3 and £4.50 respectively for children). More info: www.edinburghtrams.com
What are the nearest train, bus and tram stations?
The nearest train station to the apartments is Waverley Train Station and the nearest bus station is St Andrew Square. You can walk to the apartments from either.
The nearest tram stop for our Hanover Hideaway is Princes Street Station and the nearest tram stop for the St James’ Residence is York Place.

How do I get about town when I’m in Edinburgh?
Taxis in general can be hailed on the street or there are many taxi ranks around town. If you would prefer to order a taxi, try Central Taxis on 0131 229 2468 or City Cabs 0131 228 1211. But our apartments are all well located so, unless it’s raining or you’re wearing high heels, you can easily walk to just about any of Edinburgh’s attractions!
Lothian buses (see above) are a great way to get around. The buses are frequent and cover all of the city. An adult single ticket is £1.60 and an open day ticket is £4 (80p and £2 respectively for children). Check out www.lothianbuses.com or download the app so you can see when the next bus is before you leave the apartment.
Do you provide parking?
Our newest property, the Royal Park View, comes with free parking. Our other two properties, the St James Residence and the Hanover Hideaway are located in areas with no private parking spaces available. However we suggest the following-

Q-Park OMNI, Edinburgh, EH1 3AN
The car park is close to both properties and also many facilities such as the OMNI Centre, St James Shopping Centre and the Edinburgh Playhouse. The price is £18.50 for 24 hours.
St. James Car Park, Edinburgh, EH1 3WW
The car park is very central and within a short walk of both properties. The price is £15.20 for 24 hours.
Previous guests have rented a parking space via sites such as parkonmydrive.com.
As you leave town, the parking becomes free. The closest streets that have free parking are off Leith Walk such as Albert Street, Buchanan Street, Iona Street, Dalmeny Street.
